Odigo completes the acquisition of Akio and strengthens its ambition: building a leading sovereign European alternative in the CCaaS and CXaaS markets

London, 06 November 2025 — Odigo, a European leader in Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) solutions and a pioneer of Customer Experience as a Service (CXaaS) in Europe, today marks a major milestone in its development with the acquisition of Akio. This strategic transaction, supported by Seven2, Odigo’s majority investor since 2020, is fully aligned with Odigo’s mission to improve the effectiveness of interactions between brands and their customers.

Specialised in CCaaS solutions for SMEs and mid-market companies, the French software vendor Akio stands out thanks to its expertise in artificial intelligence, particularly applied to Voice of the Customer analysis, reputation management and agent performance optimisation.

Jean-Michel Breul, Co-CEO of Odigo, said:
“This acquisition marks a decisive step in the creation of a European leader in the CCaaS and CXaaS market. Together, we combine innovation, AI-powered customer engagement solutions, technological expertise and proximity to offer our clients comprehensive coverage of the customer experience market — from small businesses to large enterprises.”

A key milestone in the consolidation of the European market and in digital sovereignty

This acquisition forms part of a wider trend of consolidation within the CCaaS market, fuelled by the rapid development of artificial intelligence. In a market that remains highly dynamic and is increasingly driven by the adoption of AI within customer engagement, the combination of two complementary French vendors, both well established in Europe, strengthens Odigo’s ambition to create a credible and competitive European alternative to the American players in the sector. This move also reflects the growing importance placed by European companies on data sovereignty and the ability to maintain control over their technological environments.

A complete offering — from SMEs to large enterprises — and a growth driver for partner networks across Europe

This acquisition enables Odigo to offer a comprehensive and coherent portfolio ranging from CCaaS solutions for mid-sized customer service centres (from 10 users) to CXaaS platforms. CCaaS clients in the SME and mid-market segments will benefit from Akio’s proven, packaged, omnichannel technology. CXaaS clients will gain access to open, end-to-end platforms designed to support the customer experience of large international enterprises, capable of serving tens of thousands of users.

The complementary nature of the product portfolios — with AI natively embedded — and the market positioning creates a player capable of addressing all customer experience needs with the same commitment to reliability, innovation, proximity and guaranteed data sovereignty.

The solutions resulting from this integration will also enhance the portfolio available to Odigo’s ecosystem of integrator and reseller partners in France, the Benelux countries, Spain and the United Kingdom.

AI and digital expertise to support both CCaaS and CXaaS models

The integration of Akio’s recognised expertise in telephony, digital channels, AI, Voice of the Customer and Reputation significantly strengthens Odigo’s technology portfolio.

The complementarity in AI is complete. All clients will benefit from Odigo’s AI solutions for self-service, notably through Odigo’s Agentic AI offering — an exclusive innovation enabling organisations to automate, orchestrate and optimise customer interactions through autonomous agents capable of reasoning and acting within business systems. Clients will also benefit from Akio’s native analytical AI capabilities.

Digital channels will also be strengthened for all clients, with a proven omnichannel solution across all traditional digital channels offered by Akio (email, chat, WhatsApp, etc.), alongside the latest innovations in RCS (Rich Communication Services), paving the way for new, enriched conversational experiences natively integrated into customer journeys.

Patrick Giudicelli, Founder and President of Akio, said:
“Joining Odigo means joining a French company that shares our values of customer affinity and sovereignty. It is also an opportunity to elevate our innovations in AI and analytics while contributing to the creation of a European cloud-based customer experience champion. The complementarity of our offerings, the continued investment in Akio solutions to target the CCaaS market, and our shared vision of a market accelerated by AI will enable us to deliver ever more effective solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”

Javier Llosa, Co-CEO of Odigo, added:
“This acquisition opens a new phase of growth for Odigo. By combining our pan-European presence with Akio’s technological expertise and deep understanding of the SME and mid-market segment, we strengthen our ability to serve all segments — from mid-market to large enterprises. This complementarity will allow us to accelerate the commercialisation of our innovations, notably around AI and the new Agentic AI offering, across all our markets. We are firmly focused on the future and on innovation that serves our clients.”

Damien de Bettignies, Managing Partner, Seven2, commented:
“This acquisition reflects Seven2’s strong belief that Europe must build its own CCaaS and CXaaS champions. In a context where artificial intelligence is redefining customer engagement models, having European technological expertise is more strategic than ever. With the combination of technological depth, execution excellence and mid-market coverage supported by a robust partner network, Odigo is establishing itself as a leading player ready to meet the challenges of the future. Seven2 is proud to support Jean-Michel Breul and his teams in this new chapter.”

The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
