Lemon Contact Centre whipped up support for a fantastic cause with their Macmillan Coffee Morning, bringing people together over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support work tirelessly to provide practical, physical, emotional and financial support and advice for both cancer patients and the people closest to them. This invaluable support helps those people living with cancer at every stage, with a community of dedicated people surrounding them to make it a little easier.
Funded 98% by voluntary donations, Macmillan’s fundraising events and generous donations are the charities’ bread and butter. Their services wouldn’t be possible without events like the Macmillan Coffee Morning, with people up and down the UK hosting their own events and baking up a storm to raise essential donations.
Hosting their own coffee morning, Lemon Contact Centre’s team rallied with their cakes, bakes and donations on Friday 30th September for a fundraising feast in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. They had some fantastic bakes, including: Jammie Dodger Blondies, Tropical Cupcakes, and of course Lemon Drizzle Muffins! And they even had a few fakes thrown into the mix, with a variety of tarts, cookies and doughnuts also on offer.
The team really outdid themselves on the day and raised a grand total of £417.68! Lemon Contact Centre are grateful for the generosity and kindness to all of those who were involved in helping raise such a fantastic amount for such a deserving charity.
