25 Years of Charity: Redwood Technologies Celebrates Philanthropic Milestone

This year marks Redwood Technologies’ 25th Anniversary, and with it a generation’s funding for Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF).Since 1993, the Bracknell-based IT company has donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to the county where it is headquartered, supporting charities and community groups throughout Berkshire. During this time, Redwood Technologies has facilitated numerous BCF campaigns, providing a night shelter for the homeless, life education and counselling sessions, as well as materials for local schools and multisensory workshops for disabled individuals. The approaching year promises further developments, with the launch of Redwood Technologies and BCF’s first match campaign. This will see the IT company doubling the value of donations over a set period of time.

Redwood Technologies’ longstanding support for BCF has been emulated by its sister company, Content Guru, which co-founded the Business Philanthropy Club (BPC) in 2013. The BPC unites local businesses in providing vital support to those who need it within the Berkshire community, and has distributed over £43,000 in charitable funding to local groups. Content Guru continues to sponsor a number of high profile Club events, at venues including Sandhurst Military Academy and Englefield House.

The CEO of Redwood Technologies Group and a BCF Trustee, Sean Taylor commented on the 25 year milestone: “It has been a pleasure to support Berkshire Community Foundation in combatting some of the most prevalent issues within our community, from homelessness to loneliness and mental health issues to child poverty. One of the great joys of growing a business has been the opportunity to make a tangible, positive impact on the local community, and it has been fantastic to witness at close-range the full life-span of a variety of BCF projects. Over the last 25 years, Redwood Technologies’ partnership with BCF has grown from strength to strength and I am excited to see what new prospects the upcoming match campaign will bring for the Berkshire community.”
