Webhelp announces appointment of Tony Patterson as MD, Automotive & Mobility

London – 31ST  January, 2023 – Webhelp, a leading global customer experience BPO player, today announces it has expanded its UK leadership team further with the addition of Tony Patterson as MD, Automotive & Mobility.

Tony, who draws on considerable experience delivering digital transformation in retail and direct-to-consumer fields, has spent the last ten years working with major UK and global Automotive companies.

Tony explains “2023 promises to be a pivotal year for the Automotive sector as it gears up to meet the competing challenges of achieving short term targets while navigating significant structural changes. I am thrilled to be spearheading this sector for Webhelp’s UK region, and I look forward to enhancing our Automotive proposition, supporting existing and new high-profile clients.”

Jonathan Shawcross, Webhelp’s Chief Growth Officer added; “I am delighted to welcome Tony to the team. Our continued investment in the transforming Automotive sector, on the back of new client partnerships forged in 2022, remains a key focus. The delivery of great customer experience, a laser focus on driving sales, and the better use and management of data, will be critical for success, and Webhelp is perfectly positioned to help automotive and mobility players compete and thrive.”

Webhelp has a notable international presence in the Automotive sector, having implemented successful projects with automakers, distributors, and dealer networks across the globe. In 2022, a refreshed tech-enabled solution portfolio was established to support Webhelp’s automotive-focused contact centres. Additionally, the group’s Digital Dealerships proposition was launched, building on Webhelp’s Assisted Selling framework for delivering omnichannel sales in the Automotive industry. Combined, these two initiatives will help Original Equipment Manufacturers enhance their current customer service operations while future-proofing customer experience. This will provide a foundation foran effective direct-to-consumer sales organisation, prior to transitioning to an agency distribution model.

This year, Webhelp will reinforce its position as a leader in the industry, continuing its ongoing investment in the design, delivery and optimisation of new and existing customer journeys, powered by people, technology, and innovation.
