Sigma Connected hat trick as Sunday Times top employer

Press Release July 2025 – Leading business outsourcing provider Sigma Connected has been named one of the UK’s leading employers for the third successive year in the prestigious The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.

The Birmingham-headquartered company, which provides contact centre services across the utilities, financial services, telecommunications and insurance sectors, has been accredited in the national list within the Big Organisation category, mirroring its success in 2023 and 2024. The company is the only business processing outsourcer appearing on the coveted list.

The accreditation is based on the rating its 1309 UK employees provided through the company’s internal survey earlier this year – with a leading 95% completion rate and an engagement score which is 4% above the industry average.

Gary Gilburd, chief executive and co-founder at Sigma Connected said: “Only very few organisations in the UK can say they have a three-year streak in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, and we’re so proud to be one of them.

“What makes the annual Sunday Times list so special is that it’s driven by the feedback and scoring from our employees. It highlights not only strong engagement, but the overall happiness, positive culture and how we work together as one team for our clients.

“To be up alongside some huge household brands again this year is another tremendous milestone for us. It comes as we reach the halfway point in what has already been a successful 2025, and as we continue to grow our reputation across a number of sectors for our expertise and track record.”

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list measures 26 employee engagement questions across areas including reward and recognition, instilling pride, information sharing, wellbeing and job satisfaction.

Co-founded by Mr Gilburd and chief operating officer Mike Harfield in 2011, Sigma Connected has gone onto employ over 5,000 people at its offices in Birmingham and across Western Cape in South Africa. The company has also won multiple industry awards for its expertise and culture.
