Teesside-based Lemon Contact Centre has secured SafeSupplier status in recognition of its commitment to quality and best practice.
The outsourcing service, based in Stockton, has been awarded the industry-standard endorsement after a rigorous and in-depth scrutiny of its operations, systems and procedures.
The analysis examined aspects of Lemon’s business including its commitment to high standards, health and safety, quality, ethical best practices, sustainability and responsible growth.
Lemon, which has been in business nearly 20 years, specialises in both inbound and outbound services to help it to deliver top-class customer service, with a personal, rather than scripted, approach.
The accreditation is especially important to Lemon’s expanding client base. It works predominantly with engineering, technical and facilities maintenance companies, both in the UK and Europe, as well as in the care sector, including funeral directors and even personal safety apps, whose customers are often in a state of distress and therefore require a sensitive and delicately-delivered service.
Martin Anderson, Lemon’s chief executive, said: “The SafeSupplier accreditation independently endorses the quality of our services and recognises our commitment to providing outstanding standards of customer care to our clients.
“It demonstrates to existing and potential customers that in choosing Lemon they are contracting with a business that is dedicated to embracing best business practices and quality management systems.”
The SafeSupplier status has been awarded by Alcumus, which validates the legal, moral and financial credentials of companies to help potential clients make informed decisions when appointing a supplier.
SafeSupplier helps companies demonstrate their compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards and industry best practice in the supply chain.
Its examination encompasses financial management, business and professional standing, environmental management, quality management, people, health and safety, and risk management.
Lemon, which is based at Lockheed Court, Preston Farm Business Park, Stockton, was established in 2003.
