Headset manufacturer Plantronics has announced the promotion of Adam Bootle to partner account manager in the UK.
Having been corporate sales manager for the Midlands for the past five years, Adam will now be responsible for helping to drive Plantronics’ channel sales UK-wide.
Speaking of his duties and responsibilities Bootle said: “While driving sales is a core part of the role there is a lot more to it. The aim is to get partners to think ‘Plantronics first’. Unfortunately businesses don’t deem headsets to be the first or main business priorities. However Plantronics’ products are more than just headsets, they are enablers of smarter working and collaboration, and the most important part of my role will be to educate people on this and change their current perception”.
Plantronics has also announced that it has won the “Best Peripheral Vendor 2015” at the BT Diamond Awards.
The Diamond Awards are BT Business Direct’s annual recognition event where the very best of the computing and technology industry are awarded for the quality of their products and services. Plantronics beat a host of high profile contenders including Belkin, Gigabyte, Jabra, Kensington, Logitech, Microsoft and StarTech to be named eventual winner.
